Atlanta News Anchors Pay Tribute To Prodigy In An Amazing Way

It wasn't only rappers and those in the hip hop world that were affected by the sudden passing of Prodigy of Mobb Deep at the age of 42. WSB-TV’s Fred Blankenship and Mark Arum peppered in references to the late lyricist's bars, Mobb Deep tracks, and more into the newscast. Watch the broadcast above.

Blankenship introduces Arum as a “Traffic prodigy” who then reports on that “a lot of folks ‘ pushing Lexuses, wearing fat diamond rings” were on the road, a reference to Prodigy's verse on "Drink Away The Pain." He also remarks that "it's all alone on these streets, Cousin," when talking about the light traffic on the highway.

Rest in peace, Prodigy.
