Relax 'Star Wars' Fans, Mark Hamill Is Not Dead

A fake twitter account started a rumor on Friday (June 16) that beloved Star Wars actor Mark Hamill had died and it quickly spread through the internet. Many fans were devastated at the news. The Star Wars universe lost Carrie Fisher back in December and losing Hamill would have been a major blow to the fans, and unfinished Star Wars trilogy.

Luckily, it seems the reports of Hamill's death were greatly exaggerated. The actor took to Twitter to reassure everybody he is alive and well, and managed to have some fun while doing it.

With that tweet, Hamill was able to calm many fans who wondered what would happen to the final chapter of the latest Star Wars trilogy.

After the fake obituary was deleted Hamill tweeted again saying he hates "when they delete my !"

Hamill will reprise his iconic role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi this December, and take up the lightsaber one last time when the trilogy, that started with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, finishes up in 2019 with Episode IX.
